Bio
Blazing a trail out of the Midwest town of Louisville, KY, Burn to Shine consists of five members: (Jonathon Streander Stre, lead vocals), (Chase Dabney, guitars), (Joe Wheeler, bass), (Tommy Potts, guitars), and (Steve O'Reilly, Drums). BTS formed in early 2007 when long time friends Stre and Wheeler met Dabney at a local show in Louisville. O'Reilly is the hot new drummer bringing the beats that accompany their sound. Deciding to surround their focus on acoustic-based hard rock, they immediately began combining song ideas and quickly developed a solid set of original music to play live. After 2 years of writing new material and playing local shows, the band began pre-production work for their debut album in late 2008. In January 2009 the band entered the studio in Los Angeles, CA with Grammy award winning producer, Toby Wright (Alice In Chains, Metallica, Korn, Slayer, etc). Wright immediately pushed the band from their acoustic roots into a more sonically powerful mixture of acoustic and electric guitar rock.
In the Spring of 2009, Burn to Shine released their debut album. Produced and mixed by Wright, the 10-track album showcases the bands signature smash-mouth anthem rock, mixed with their ability to soften the grooves into mid-tempo dynamics on a few gentler tracks as well.
