Burry’s debut single “For A Sad Soul” is an incredibly raw and vulnerable single about her friend who passed away due to mental illness. A topic that most shy away from, Burry passionately breaks barriers and sheds like on uncomfortable topics as a way of coping with the reality. Mental Illness is an ever-growing problem that needs to be talked about every single day. Burry flawless weaves through emotive lyricism, a beautiful tribute to her late friend. Her vocals are soft and pure, the emotion and true energy behind her words will put tears in your eyes. The instrumentals remain soft throughout the track s the listener can really focus on the words Burry is singing. I think it’s spectacular what Burry is doing with her music and I can’t wait to see what she delivers next! -

Bio
Burry is an indie folk artist from Halifax, Nova Scotia. Music has played a huge role for her growing up and she started writing her own songs in 2014. She released her first single ‘For a Sad Soul’ in November 2018 which has garnered over 11k streams. She used the release of the music video to raise funds for the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia. She is fresh off of the release of her new single ‘Bi the Way’ which she wrote to represent the LGBTQ2A+ community. She is now collaborating with local Nova Scotia talents on new music and headlined her first show at Garrison Brewery on July 19th 2019 for Halifax Pride. Able to perform as a solo act or with a full band, Burry has an unforgettable and energetic stage presence that goes hand in hand with her insightful lyricism.
Burry has shared bills with T. Thomason, Sorrey, Moscow Apartment, Owen Meany’s Batting Stance and Moonwake, to name a few.
