Busking For Franklins mixes alt rock, modern blues and stripped down funk with a make-you-wanna-dance beatboxing drummer. We dare you not to get into the groove with us!
The band formed in the fall of 2007 with the return of guitarist Jeremy Wilson from a near two year deployment to Iraq. During his absence, brother and fellow guitarist Chris Wilson had been writing songs and honing his vocals. Completing the group are bassist Scott Perrault, providing his melodic low end, and Ross Ayoka, with his double attack of heavy drums and funky beatboxing.
If you're curious, the best translation of our name is probably "street musicians begging for more than they're worth." We like the sound of it - and we hope you like the sound of our music.
