Busse & The Vibes are a four-piece psychedelic jam-funk band out of Somerville, NJ. They have been playing together for 3 years, gigging throughout the tri-state area. Some of their musical influences include Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Allman Brothers, John Frusciante, The Dear Hunter, and Primus.
Their original music is a blend of blues, funk, and pop, while incorporating the element of improvisation. Known to cut loose with impromptu jamming, no two performances are quite the same. John Busse delivers a cascade of guitar riffology and melodies while singing out his soul, engaged in a rhythmic and harmonic dance with Ryan Lewis who drops thunderous spacephunk in the bass frequencies. Ryan Bernero delivers a powerful and unique counterpoint to John's guitar, both in rhythm and melody. Last but not least is the intensely precise cannon of Kyle Cappelli behind the drums. This power quartet packs a serious rock and roll wallop, feeding you a heaping spoonful of jams to make your feet move and your hips groove.
Through a deep connection with our mother earth, they are the channel for music to reach out and touch you, move you... An opportunity to see Busse & The Vibes often leads the audience to wonder what just happened on stage and how they can experience it again and again.
