ByMonday. 'Why THIS name?' you may ask. No, there's no deep meaning to it; no hidden messages. Simply just the name. It came about when we were deciding upon a name to replace our previously horrendous one. We had been asked by many people what our name was, and we really couldn't tell them because we were in between two names. So our parents told us before a Friday practice that we had to have a name by the end of the weekend. That time came around and we decided to have a practice on the Monday as well. When we were on our way to drop off Ethan, he came to the sudden realization that we still had no name! He blurted out, "Oh no! We still don't have a name! I told my parents we'd have a name by Monday!" So we did. And that is the tale of our name.
The great thing about ByMonday is that we've all known each other for quite a long time; the shortest amount of time between two of us being 5 years. Because of this, we work well together and have found efficient ways to collaborate with each other. Although, we often still argue like crazy.
As far as song writing goes, PJ has been writing and recording songs in his basement since he was 13. He writes the songs then sends the rest of the guys a demo so they can practice it. Then when it comes time for a practice together, we're all ready to go. This makes it easy to play shows at short notice.
All of us are experienced and trained musicians. We love playing music and doing a good job of it.
We've worked to accomplish playing together in time and making things a little exciting on stage. We like coming up with new ideas while we play, so you never know what crazy thing we might do.
