BY-PASS is a band from Pancevo, Serbia, heavily influenced by
Progressive Rock, Metal, Stoner Rock and Grunge in the early days,
but has over time evolved into something best described as a crossover between Atmospheric Rock, New Prog and Alternative
Metal.
The band has played a number of successful concerts in Serbia and abroad over
the years and produced two albums - “Psychoactive”, released in 2000
for ITMM and “Pustinjom” released in 2014 for Multimedia Music. Both
albums were highly rated by critics and media in Serbia and abroad
(USA, Italy, Sweden, Portugal) and took high places in music charts.
As far as interesting facts go, one of the band's songs has been included in the soundtrack for a Canadian TV series “ZOS: Zone of Separation”, and the
legendary Serbian rock band Bjesovi has included a cover of “Sjaj” (one
of the singles from the first album) on their album of favorite
Ex-Yugoslav songs. Another interesting fact is that Geoff Pesche from
Abbey Road Studios was in charge of post-production and mastering for
the album “Pustinjom”.
The band is always writing new material and actively touring Serbia and the
region. They love to play live and they are eager to give their audience the
experience of a specific atmosphere and energy that the BY-PASS
concerts are known for.
