By The Fiends is an eclectic movement of dissonant frequencies, odd time signatures and social satire. It is honest in it’s design and is fueled by the creative engine of the subconscious.

This musical experience is the brainchild of Montreal born songwriter/producer Derek Orsi. The project was conceived as a way for Orsi to express his sonic curiosities beyond the confines of tired corporate rock. The band’s self-titled debut crosses the bridge of indulgence with instrumentation ranging from violas and pianos to distorted guitars and 808s, however their live show is a monster truck of electric pain! Bandmates Yann Bonato De Angelis (bass) and Adam Passalacqua (drums) build the perfect foundation for Orsi’s ear shattering guitars/vocals on stage; no bells and whistles, just a power trio at it’s finest.

By The Fiends are new kids on the old block having performed but a handful of shows between Montreal and Ottawa since coming onto the scene in September 2014. The band is looking to expand their fan base by hitting the road in support of their album this winter/spring.

Their mission: BRING BACK THE MOSH PIT!!!
