BZ and The Riff Kids officially formed on January 1, 2012. Bz and The Riff Kids consists of BZ aka Black Zach (Frontman/MC), Bryan White (Programmer/Guitarist/Vocalist/MC), Jon Ball (Drummer), and Dequo (Hype-Man/MC). We are a Hip-Rock band based out of Detroit. We write and play everything you hear and we pour our heart and soul into our music. We just want to party and have a lot of fun making art that people can relate to!
Our mission is to bring a new sound to Detroit by combining Rock N' Roll and Hip-Hop in the purest form, taking extra care not to fall into the Rap/Rock genre from the 90s. We use our upbeat music to lift up our lives, keep us motivated, and give us personal meaning that no other art form can provide. Ultimately, it's a group of homies who love what they do, and use their riffs to move and hopefully Hip-Rock the world!
