CD CORDEL (2000): It was a personal working of the Brazilian Popular Culture based on researches about cordel literature, with support of cordelistas, improvisers and researchers; It was influenced by Mario de Andrade, Camara Cascudo and others.
CD COR DA TERRA (2002): That’s a dip poetic of the Brazilian rhythms, with rustically melody and the singer striking voice. It’s the labor more authoress as a songwriter. It was edited by Circuito Musical and was sold only on-line. It is based in the roots and inheritance of popular rhythms from Brasil. The colors of the poetry, the theatrical performance and the images of the cineastra Rosemberg Cariri are part of this spectacle.
CD VISIONÁRIO (2005): He launched the album “Visionário” with a special participation of Dominginhos and the musical direction of Pantico Rocha for the Circuito Musical stamp and distributed by DI/TRAMA. He carried through a national tour in several Brazilian states. It’s a special work of world music with brasilian roots.
CD IMAGINARIO (2006): Bringing plurality and the happiness of the brasilian popular music, it presents with modern and universal forms, the several rhythms with intensity percussion. The musical production came from Paulo Rafael, one of great musicals producers in the country. The CD put together 10 strips, where in “Sonhei de Cara” has a special participation of Alceu Valença. The new stuff came filled of a musical type and the contemporary compositions of Cacau Brasil, besides it has compositons of consecrated artists like Alçeu Valença, Ednardo, Vicente Barreto, and others.
DVD ACORDES PARA O MUNDO (2007): That’s the last work of Cacau Brasil, which fusions of world rhythms shows the mark of this artist. It’s not finished yet, but we are going to launch it at WOMEX/2007.

Cacau Brasil is a singer and composer that dives in the rhythms of Brazilian drums exposing its roots and inheritance. The Brazilian popular music sang by him is inserted in contemporary context, developing a Brazilian style in its essence with a deep variety of afoxe, maracatu, frevo, coco and others. The fusion of these rhythms with the percussion intensity makes the mark of this artist.
Besides taking his singer career, since 1998, Cacau has been coordinating the ONG Tapera das Artes in Aquiraz, Ceara, Brasil developing programs and educational projetcs working with 800 children that live in poor families, trying to improve their life quality.
He also takes the Brazilian popular culture to the international market. He has done many concerts in Europe, taking in all places the soul, sounds, history and happiness of the Brazilian people.
During the last years his works could be resumed year by year. Follow up below from the latest:
(2007) Initiated the year with shows in the cities of Fortaleza (with Zé Ramalho and Alceu Valenca), Recife, and Olinda. In March was in Sao Paulo in tour playing with Alceu Valenca. Also participated in Miden where spreading out his latest work “Imaginario”. Now, he prepare is preparing himself for recording his new DVD (Acordes para o Mundo) in show which will have the participation of the group of Music from Marroc and the dancers form the Macedonia and the Symphony Orquestra “Eleazar de Carvalho”.
(2006) Participated in a tour in Europe which was very successful, especially in Portugal where he was playing in the Casinos of the Sol Verde group. He was represented in internationals fairs Popkom and Womex, where he introduced his work “Imaginario”. In January made a show with Vicente Barreto in Pinheiros in the Birthday of the city of Sao Paulo. In April played with Alceu Valença in a huge concert on the Circo Voador, Rio de Janeiro. In May played with Belchior and Jardes Macalé in the University of Sao Paulo.

(2005) CD of the Choro Group: It was a CD he produced with teenagers from the ONG Tapera das Artes that played the brazilian “choro”.
(2004) National tour “Cor da Terra”: Cacau Brasil followed with his band (five players that studied in the ONG Tapera das Artes de Aquiraz-CE. The spectacle join the diversity of Brazilian rhythms and it was showed in Brasília-DF, in Rio de Janeiro-Rival Theater and in São Paulo on SESC Pompéia.
(2004) Sintonia da Mata: The CDL (Camara dos Diretores Lojistas) project “Quarta da Cultura no Cenário” presented on June 30th the Sintonia da Mata with Meninos da Tapera (Aquiraz-CE) participation. Basically characterized for the instrumental sounds, the presentation came from researches about Brazilian rhythms resulting in imaginary sons and movements/sensations of waters, trees, birds, Brazilian bushes, and others. In the occasion the exposition Visionária Aridez (de Cacau Brasil) was opened with twenty pictures (oil on screen). It represents images that show us the human difficulty on half-barren place.
(2004) CD De Tradições Orais: He produced a CD of the traditional groups of Reizado, Coco and Pastoril. It Carried out a deep research on the roots and story of these groups.
(2004) CD do Coco: The name comes form the coconut of the typically landscape of the northeast of Brazil. But it is actually a traditional music and dance expression from the fisherman of the beach Iguape in the city of Aquiraz, Ceara, Brazil. Cacau produced the CD with all their main music expressions.
(2002) Cor da Terra: It is based in the roots and inheritance of popular rhythms from Brasil. The colors of the poetry, the theatrical performance and the images of the cineastra Rosemberg Cariri are part of this spectacle.
(2002) Passos e Compassos do Brasil: Cacau wrote the screen and the musics of this spectacle that had the participation of children and teenagers of the Flutes Girassol Group and the Chorinho Group of the Tapera das Artes Project. It opened the International Meeting of Culture of Ytamaraty.
(1999) Sons & Sonhos: As Artistic Coordinator of the ONG Tapera das Artes, in Aquiraz-Ceará, he staged a musical scenic spectacle Sons e Sonhos – The musical script based on Ceará History, showed off for 80 children between 9 to 14 years old who played transversal flute and “pífaro” in Flautas Girassol Bands – Tapera Artes Project, started on December in José de Alencar Theater. He wrote the screen play and the music are from composers from the Ceará State of Brazil. The spectacle resulted in a CD record and it has launched in September 2001 in América Latina Memorial-SP.
