Cadence was formed in January of 2010 by musicians Kayla Solum and Pierce Westfall. However shortly after its formation the two would split. Pierce went on to continue the band as a solo artist, writing new songs, providing Cadence with a new sound.
In April of 2010, Pierce discovered the vocal talent of a close friend Katie Sketcheverry. Afters several practices he offered her a spot in the acoustic band as she accepted. With the recent addition of Katie to the band, the mellow acoustic sound of Cadence is sure to be loved by all.
Every song Pierce has written has a deep heart felt meaning that others can relate to. With the lyrics having a lot to do with life experiences and tough times comes the title of his first EP "Roads We Travel" coming out July of 2010. Expect to hear good things from Cadence as the future looks bright for these young musicians.
