"PICK UP THAT FREE WIFI BY CADO"

The Boston duo Cado is back at it again. Coming off the release of their single “A:M,” the boys have dropped their new project titled FREE WIFI which is something all of us could use. The project runs for seven tracks, all of which Cado has put a layer of shimmering production on.

Throughout FREE WIFI, Cado displays a plethora of skills and versatility. From some silky smooth R&B on “H I G H,” a trap style jam on “R.N.,” to the sounds of nature on “Offline,” FREE WIFI sonically has it all. The sampling used throughout the project is exceptional as Cado uses tracks like “Runaway” by Galantis and puts a unique spin on the track; production skills worth noting. FREE WIFI is worth a listen all the way through.

Take a listen to FREE WIFI below and let us know what you think in the comments section. Keep an eye out for Cado to make some more moves the rest of 2016. - True Too

"Cado - FREE WIFI"

The anticipation is over. Boston duo Cado‘s project FREE WIFI was released today. Seven songs lead you through a developed set of thematic and ideological beliefs. The references don’t stop with Cado, and the self-awareness is brought full-force, using every tool the hip-hop genre has to offer.

The first track, “Riverside”, is bittersweet in a distinct way. An off-kilter addictive melody pairs well with the super sweet vocal hook. “Cactus Cooler” features the vocal talents of Claire Maisto and brings those summer vibes we are all craving — right down to the deep, slow vocals that give the song a full and rounded effect. “R.N. ft. Olukara” plays with synthetic sounds and takes the project to a darker place, continued by “Online”, which brings the album’s themes of technology and the modern age to a head.

You can listen to the project’s first single, “A:M ft. Eventide”, right here. “H I G H” offers melody from the top and slows everything down for a moment of chill, complete with melancholy strings. The track ends in a smooth transition into the album closer, “Offline” which is an at-first noisy celebration of FREE WIFI‘s accomplishment. A celebration that still begs questions of the nature/technology dichotomy. If there is one. The track (and album) ends in gentle piano music and the sound of birds.

Cado have clearly put the thought into what they want their music to achieve, and it is through these beliefs that the album keeps its addictive pace. We can only wait for what the duo has to say next. To keep up with Cado, you can follow them on their website, Facebook, and SoundCloud page. - NewSickMusic
