North Americas illicit love affair with Latin music is exquisitely consummated in the music of John Cain & José Molina Serrano. Together they create music that is infused with the sirocco winds of Spain, the balmy bays of Brazil, the sultry beaches of the Mexican Riviera and the free spirit of American jazz.
Though they have noted individual solo careers as musicians, Cain and Molina share their love of music together by collaborating often on acoustic projects.
Molina:
Jose Molina Serrano was born in Mazatlan, Mexico and moved to the USA in 1967. He played backup for: Bo Didley, John Lee Hooker, Thelma Houston, The Olympics. He was personal assistant for Carlos Santana 1996/1997. Jose has been writing original music for over 25 years and has released several CDs of his original Latin-jazz music. Jose performs frequently with his own band at top jazz venues including the renown "Viva Santana" tribute band in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Cain:
Singing in five languages, musician, composer and author of the acclaimed book Lifes A Good Gig, John Cain delights audiences from around the world as an entertainer and pianist. He plays several musical instruments including the guitar, piano, bass, accordion and harmonica. Cain performs educational seminars on the history of jazz and Latin American music to students ranging from elementary school-age to college level. He has recorded many CDs including one for kids that has a companion book which he also wrote and illustrated.
