Bio

Caio Bosco is a singer and songwriter of Guaruja, coast of the state of São Paulo (Brazil). Born in 27/11/1979, began his career in 2005 with the sampleadelic duo Radiola Santa Rosa and his only album called "Disqueria", a blend of hip hop, dub and Brazilian music. In 2006 the Radiola released the "Duberia" (a dub version of the album "Disqueria") and the end of 2007, after a break with the duo, Caio started his solo career.

His first solo release was the "Diamante EP" of 2009, a lo-fi work with six tracks that proposes a Brazilian music based in rock, funk and electronica. The album was modest, but received praise in magazines and blogs in Brazil and abroad. After two years of work developing his style, in the fall of 2012, Caio released his first full album with collaborations like Jim Waters (Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Sonic Youth and Calexico) and Alexandre Basa (Wallbangaz, Black Alien and Turbo Trio) and band members of Caio Bosco.

The album assures Caio: "These are songs with rare grooves and sunny seaside atmosphere, high vibes." The evidence of this can be seen in the video clip "Mendigos de Amor", directed by Kennedy Lui and Andre Seitsugo, inspired by the movie "Collectioneuse" by Éric Rohmer.

on the gigs, Caio Bosco Cerebral (the name of the band that accompanies the singer live) sounds like rock and funk is 70' in vein! A machine to dance and mesmerizing, with soulful vocals and a guitar work sometimes blues and sometimes psychedelic spatial, a solid rhythm section, heavy and full of groove on drums of Juca Lopes, Fábio Peracini on bass, plus the sofisticated samples and effects played by DJ Beto Machado.
