Caitlin Jane

With her recent CD EP release, "Ashes into Beauty" (December 2007), Caitlin Jane is a fresh female vocalist upon the music scene. Inspired by the verses in Isaiah 61, the CD is a reflection of the hope and grace of God. The CD title originated from the first line of "Broken Vessel," which she penned in the margins of her notes during a college class one morning. Her thoughts escaping to Old Testament poetry and the writings of the prophet Isaiah, she wrote a song that paints a picture of the transforming and healing touch of God on one’s life. Throughout high school and college, she has helped lead various worship teams at churches, youth groups, and retreat centers. She also has led worship for a young girl’s conference called “Beautiful You 2.” From small-town coffee shops to larger concerts, she puts on a powerful live show, captivating audiences while singing solo at the piano. Her pure and strong voice touches all those who listen.

Caitlin is grateful for the musical legacy handed down from her grandmother, who had a gift for singing. From the time Caitlin was a child, around the age of 5, she started creating her own music while belting out songs at the piano. With both piano and vocal classical training, she has explored the realms of music and created her own unique style. She has found true joy in Christ and in the life He gives. She professes, “I hope that my songs encourage and inspire anyone who listens. I love writing music, and my desire is to sing the message of God’s hope, through the valleys and mountains of life. I want to praise God, who has captured my heart, with every chance I have to sing and play piano.” Her heart is evident in the passion of her music. She has a genuine love for people of all ages and her songs connect with young and old alike. She composes and performs with conviction and sincerity, yet is a fun-loving and easy-going young woman who treasures every day she’s given.
