Bio
On October of 2019, in the city of Las Vegas, Calamity and Joy was born. Right from the get go, they have began working to create a name in their city. The first step was setting up a free show for their community. Using their own resources, they found bands for the bill, built their own sound system, and printed 100s of flyers to promote the event. The Extreme Tour, a national and international non profit tour backed by the New Hope Community Project, took notice of this and reached out to C&J. This took C&J to Nashville where they learned valuable information about the music industry from industry giants such as producer Billy Smiley, Supreme of Wu Tang Clan, Brian Welch of Korn, and many more. During their time on tour, C&J realized that they had the same goal as the Extreme Tour. They both strived to create a community where people felt loved and accepted for who they are. This gave Calamity and Joy the tools they needed to expand their community focused mission back to their own city.
