Lyrics

Lucky Me

Written By: Cali Yakaback

Verse 1:
I bet you don’t have any clue what you do
To me when you walk in the room
I still lose my breath

And I, I find it so hard to get by
Whenever you’re not by my side
I wait impatiently

Chorus:
Cus’ you are the sunshine that wakes me up in the morning
And you are the reason why I am always singing
They said it’d be hard to find someone who’s everything you need
Well, lucky me

Verse 2:
I guess we were somehow meant to be
Cus’ whenever you’re near me
I feel forever at peace

Every day I look to the sky and I pray
That you won’t ever go away
Because our life is straight out of a story book page

Chorus

Bridge:
Lucky me that I found my other half
You make me dream you make me laugh, hey

Lucky me that I found my best friend
Who makes me want to make those plans, yea

Chorus:
Cus’ you are the sunshine that wakes me up in the morning
And you are the reason why I am always smiling
They said it’d be hard to find someone who’s everything you need
Well, lucky me
Well, lucky me

Long Drive Home

Written By: Cali Yakaback

Verse 1
Forgiveness don’t come easy to others
And they won’t let her forget
There is no such thing as the present in her world
Because all they see is her past

She’s been running around from town to town
All she ever does is pretend
But she knows it’s only a matter of time
Before it all has to end

Pre-chorus
Too many years that girl’s been gone
When something tells her to go back home

Chorus
And she tries to imagine what they’ll do when they see her
For the first time in a long time
Maybe her mom will smile and take her
Or she’ll just hug her and cry
Maybe there won’t be a home to go home too
Maybe they went on their way
But she tries to imagine what she’ll say when she sees them
But she’s still got lots of time...oh lots of time
On the long drive home

Verse 2
His phone call says I miss you baby
And tell the girls I love them too
Moving farther away from what he needs most
With every town that he drives through

He spends thanksgiving in a cheap motel
And new years on a midnight flight
He says he’s doing it for his family
But has no family to go home to at night

Pre-chorus
He’s been travelling for far too long
When something tells him to go back home

Chorus
And he tries to imagine what they’ll do when they see him
For the first time in a long time
Maybe they’ll smile and bring him in, maybe they’ll hug him and cry
Maybe she’ll be waiting up because she can feel him on his way
And he tries to imagine what he’ll say when he sees them
But he’s still got lots of time...oh lots of time
On the long drive home

Final Chorus
It’s those long drives when you can solve all the world’s problems
In just one night
And it’s those long drives when every song on the radio
Sounds like your life
Millions of people are driving home, trying to imagine what they’ll sad
But they got lots of time...oh lots of time
On the long drive home

Perfect for me

Written By: Cali Yakaback

Verse 1
You got grease stains on your blue jeans
And ketchup on your shit
And I hate to tell you baby
But you're such an awful flirt

You kick when you are sleeping
And steal the covers from my side
And when I said you don’t snore
Well baby I lied

Chorus
But somehow no matter what you do
You got a way of keeping me so in love with you
Your far from perfect but baby I don’t mind
And I’ll say it every time
Nah nah you ain’t perfect, but you're perfect for me

Verse 2
Sundays, you watch your big game
And never move from your chair
And you rarely ever notice when I do something to my hair

You complain about the prices
When you take me out downtown
Believe me it ain’t your manners babe that keep me around

Chorus

Bridge
Maybe it’s the way you keep my smiling all day
Even when I want to cry
Or maybe its because no one knows me like you do,
But to be honest I don’t know why
All I know is you ain’t perfect, but your perfect for me

Chorus
