Bio

Hector Banez
Born in the Phillippines, Hector Banez is a self taught multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. Hector first got involved with music in Jr. High School in a R&B singing group. Hector's first instrument was the drums, but his band was in need of a bass player, so Hector was it."I heard Cold Sweat by James Brown on the radio and I was hooked on the funk" Hector says. Hector got a paper route to purchase his first bass which his father wired to a an old TV consle that was his first bass amp.

Hector has played with many groups including Jazz saxiphonist David Murray, Eddie Minifield saxiphoneist for Shelia E. and Prince and bands opening for Robert Palmer, the Jackson Five and others.

"I have been given a gift of music to make a difference in the world by using music as a vessel to create breakthroughs in people's lives. I've been blesssed working with Natalie and Peter to bring out peoples emotions through our music"

Peter Margen

Peter Margen is an avid guitarist and songwriter. He performed professionally with a variety of artists, including British organist Brian Auger, Singers Kathy McDonald, Jessie "Mr. Soul" James, producer Walter Afanasieff and in bands with members of Santana, Tower of Power, The Jacksons, Sly and the Family Stone and Grover Washington Jr.

Peter first fell in love with the guitar at age 12, when he ordered an electric guitar from an electronics catalog without his parent’s permission. “I come from a musical family where my mother and brothers all played instruments. My parents wanted me to play the clarinet or flute, but it was the 1960’s and that just wasn’t in the cards. I took matters into my own hands”

Peter plays and writes a variety of musical genres from acoustic smooth jazz to rock, pop and "down home and greasy" funk and blues.

Peter Says-

“Music has the power to bring people together and change hearts and minds. My hope is that our music will touch people in a way to go out and do great things”.

Natalie Figueroa

Natalie started singing in church at the tender age of 6 in the children's choir. Natalie began studying voice at age 15 paid for by an anonymous donor who saw her untapped potential. She began singing solos in church and became the primary youth soloist for the congregation. With a distinctive and instantly recongnizable voice, Natalie posesses the rare gift to bring forth emotions in others through her vocal expression. As a part of Calico Crew, Natalie is honing her skills as a formitable songwriter and arranger. Some of her major influences include; Natalie Cole, Basia, Crystal Lewis, Swing Out Sister, Ella Fitzgerald, Sara Vaughn and Nancy Wilson.

Natalie Says-

"I've always wanted to sing and record inspirational music. My goals in life are to be a positive roll model doing what I love and give back to my community in some way great or small using my God given talents.
