... it started out in late 90's with a cheap microphone and recording so-called "songs" on a portable stereo.
The die hard hobby kept going strong, a teacher who also was a professional singer, helped out in getting the first recording session, which opened the doors to the fascinating world of recording.
After the first demo, appeared on a TV contest juggling between work and school and dreaming to be on the radio. Enrique finally comes to the US in 1997, formed a band in '99 with a "rock en español" style. "Causas" rehearsed during 1999-2000, and due to personal reasons, mostly work schedules; friendly separated.
With an indeclinable passion, Cáliz was born in October 2003 with the primary objective of transmitting the Word of God having an image that is always upbeat, and easy to relate to.
Agents, promoters, record labels, fellow musicians and fans regard Cáliz as a friend and musical resource. The band writes, records and performs, one, two or all three depending on the situation. While project lenghts vary, Cáliz members proud themselves in building long term relationships.
