Bio

Calling Mendoza is a modern rock band established in Sydney. Influenced by U2, Cold Play and Simple Plan. Drawing inspiration from several bands and adding their personal touch, Calling Mendoza caters for a wide range of audiences.

Ray and Simon are the founding members of the band. Having met in their high school years, they discovered their love for music and began to meet regularly in order to write material.

Through a friend, Ray and Simon were introduced to Christian, who joined the group and began writing lyrics to the music. What had initially started out as some fun quickly turned into something serious as the boys were coming up with some quality material. Additional sounds were required in order to take their music to the next level and hence a keyboard was decided upon. Through a friend the boys came across Joe, whose style blended in perfectly with Calling Mendoza and proved that he had quite a talent for song writing as well. By then George had been introduced to the band as a drummer and liked what he heard.

Calling Mendoza have successfully recorded 2 EPs and have proven to be a success to its fans.

Currently working on new material and constantly striving to achieve perfection in everything that they do, The band continues to do what they love to do while remaining very down to earth and humble.

Hope to see you at the next gig
