Callista

Since its beginnings in 2006, Callista has been gradually pieced together through the chance encounters of a few like-minded musicians. Unlike many bands that are made up of close friends, the band consists of five strangers from a small town who connected by chance.

Three years later, these chance encounters began to pay off when Grammy award winning producer Stephen Short (Queen, Augustana, Camera Can't Lie) agreed to begin working with the band in March 2009. This became a turning point in the band's commitment to excellence and success. They immediately began working to record a new EP and pursue a professional career in the music industry.

By August 2009, after countless nights of hard work, the band traveled to Sonic Ranch Recording Studios in Texas and recorded their first EP, Farther.

The band plans to begin their first tour in 2010, and to continue touring until the next phase comes along. They have all been brought together by a mutual passion for music and performance, and there is nothing they enjoy more than sharing that passion with those around them.
