Bio

The Scandinavian brand

This nation has experienced many great ordeals. Through flesh burning fire and freezing winter our ancestors walked God-fearing and humble. They knew who they were and where they were coming from. Unlike today when everything has turned upsidedown. Superficiality rises its depraved and ugly head when content has become insignificant. True nature of this northern folklore is weakened and soon forgotten.

Even under the influence of strong manipulation and brainwashing there is and always will be strong resistance towards corrupted mainstream. At the turn of the new millenium, a group of young rebels discovered a strong pulse. Like a whispering wind it spread from west to the all cardinal points. Slowly but surely working its way like a snowball-effect. Art of sound containing lashing opinions, sharp screams flavored with deep growls. Calling nowadays ideals into question.

Under Northern Lights exposed

With the evolution it has been a natural decision to keep pushing forward. Pulse took a different form as it was the time for their first offspring to step into the light. Everyone who dared, heard ordeal of the century. Rising doom and dark textures took their place stronger and stronger convincing every awestruck victim to stay alert for future endeavours.

Spreading like a disease under northern lights - a new idea of tremendous yet slow sonic walls dressed in beautiful atmospheres that would capture a massive surge of emotions. Worlds colliding with different shades of colours, darker blending with lighter ones. Discoveries of modern society written into photographic speech figures where neither Masons nor Philistines survive the scene intact. And so the journey continues with deliberation and great passion towards hopefully the first, serious and considerable manifest.

With their second album "Noir", a follow-up for widely appreciated debut "True Nature Unfolds", Callisto has turned a new page in broadening musical expressions. The cathartically dim atmosphere characteristic for the works of the Finnish five-piece has kept its culmination, yet found new ways of erupting into more diverse and timeless sound. On "Noir" the breeze can not only be felt originating from various musical tendencies, but also from differing decades. Noir will be released in several European countries early 2007.
