"Coming off the heels of successful eye-opening performances at a DJ Drewski (Hot97) x DJ Envy (Power105) hosted showcase and a full length set at "The Legacies Continue" event at Drom, Callistus looks poised to be an artist to watch going into 2017. His first single "Papers" from his anticipated 2nd full-length project ("THIN AIR") has been catching a nice buzz, already having 10k plays on Soundcloud alone in the 2 months since its release.
Callistus began his career as independent recording artist in 2014, with little help and/or funding. His debut album "I's Closed" (8/2014) received positive feedback for his ability to blend classic hard-hitting and mission-driven lyricism with a new wave soundscape, featuring production from platinum producer Woodro Skillson of The Headbangaz.
This feedback has been just as positive when pertaining to his live shows, as he has been dubbed a natural performer with an innate ability to capture a crowd from the moment he steps onto a stage. As we await his 2nd album, "THIN AIR" (due mid 2017), those close to the situation are adamant about the fact that they are a expecting a major leap in his movement and career."
