Bio
My music comes from a life of absorbing and creating the many forms of music that touch rock music...be it slow and acoustic or driving a stack of amplifiers into a realm of overdriven glory. While I can play "metal" and borrow from its dynamics sometimes, my norm is somewhere in the vast universe that is "Hard Rock". Definitely, I love the bluesy raunch of Aerosmith/G'n'R type tunes maybe more than others...but with influences ranging from Alice in Chains to Pink Floyd to Stone Temple Pilots, it's fair to say I like blending styles as much as I like bending notes!
I've been playing live since the late 80's, taking the usual path that starts at keg parties and heads into bars, clubs, theaters, and finally festivals. During that time, employment at music stores sharpened my ear and gave me a good working knowledge of guitar gear and how to find those elusive tones that make or break a song. In addition, I've been allowed for my entire life to explore music and have listened long and hard for those elements that seperate great songs from good ones from filler.
At present, I'm working on a solo CD while also playing out with my cover band, "Full Tilt". After playing some shows to kick off the New Year, we're taking some time to learn more material to freshen our set list.
