Bio
From the ripe young age of 14 on, self-taught multi-instrumentalist Cameron Fife of Louisville wrote and performed with a number of bands in the Kentucky underground music scene. After years spent entertaining sweaty audiences in basements and bars as a member of (and primary songwriter for) Eat This McKinley and Captain Cadillac, Cameronmoved to Los Angeles in 2013. He has since released his debut solo EP …And That I’ll Remember. The grit and fervor of his early work remains evident in this EP, but a wise-beyond-his-years clarity fills out his sound, and a mature and focused nostalgia colors his lyrical landscape. These days, his songwriting terrain is characterized by an unflinching honesty that feels like looking back on growing up, reliving every great and terrible feeling; each song brings you nearer to the conclusion that, no matter how painful the past may be, magic can still be mined from every moment. Equal parts homesick and hopeful, introspective and expressive, Cameron’s music is refined and purposeful, straddling the line between cathartic and personal: ideal for both screaming along to in dark open spaces with one hundred of your closest friends and playing alone as the soundtrack to a secret meditative ritual. The EP is available now atcameronlfife.bandcamp.com. His debut music video for Shoulda Stayed Down can be found here: http://youtu.be/fpYIUlsddlc
