"Cameron Hull is an intense young dude with amazing vocal range and very stark, impressionistic songs." - Jersey Beat (2/23/07)

"Montana Kaimin"

"Cameron Hull’s 2006 release “Music for Loons” is one of those off-the-radar albums passed on from music savvy roommate to music savvy roommate. Although it often holds the feel of a coffee-house guitar performance, Hull’s music captures attention with the same eccentric twang as Neutral Milk Hotel and Iron and Wine.
Every second of “Music for Loons” evokes a strange longing for the ethereal imaginings of childhood, mixing adult themes like love and loss with a rambling, irregular musical pace that seems to fit the flitting attention spans of grade schoolers. The odd minor chord or a series of bluesy pluckings add a dash of unpredictability that separates Hull from other solo ventures."

"Crahinin.com"

Multi-talented musician Cameron Hull has crafted this album that combines elements of folk, country, 60's harmonies, and even ragtime. Not only did Cameron make a great album, but also seems to be developing a little musical scene of his own. Some of NYC's newest musicians, that are developing promising careers of their own, have gotten together to add some sweet touches to his debut. The highlight hits when Jaymay comes in to add vocals on "Cattail Girl". Her voice is so irresistible that you'll keep hitting repeat on the cd player. (2004) - Crashinin.com

"Jezebel Music Review"

"Well, there's nobody else like Cameron Hull. Nobody. An expert songsmith with a wicked sense of humor... sometimes Cameron's art form is so far ahead of it's time people are completely oblivious to it. His guitar playing was superb and his material continued to astound the crowd as it does each time he plays. There's just nobody else like Cameron." --Alex Lowry - jezebelmusic.net

Bio

Cameron Hull hails from Memphis, TN and currently resides in Brooklyn, NY. A solo artist, he sings with a voice marked by operatic training but also creates other worldly nuances to express a stark and orginal literary voice. His music evokes a strange longing for the ethereal imaginings of childhood, mixing adult themes like love and loss with a rambling, irregular musical pace that seems to fit the flitting attention spans of grade schoolers. In his guitar playing, the odd minor chord or a series of bluesy pluckings add a dash of unpredictability that separates Hull from other solo ventures.
