Shades of London... An incredible first album by Cameron Lister. - Catherine Orcutt

The CD provides the listener a range of emotions from sweet to powerful and disonant. The performances are of the quality one would expect from the Berklee school. I enjoy the CD more every time I put it on the player. - Stan Nevola

Shades of London, Open Liar (Release October 13th, 2007), Untitled Acoustic EP (Release TBD)

"In a lot of ways this record feels like it's my first. It's new, fresh and most importantly honest."

"Open Liar" may feel like Cameron Lister's first album but it actually marks the Boston based singer songwriter's second turn as artist, writer, and producer. And it delivers on all three. The twelve track album is full of powerful songs ranging from the intimately heartbreaking to powerful epic; qualities that Cameron Lister fans have come to love and expect from the twenty four year old.

"For me the album really centers on 'If You're Going to Go.' That was one of those experiences that only comes along once every few months if your lucky. Everything just went perfectly for me performing and recording the track and as I writer I feel like it was one of those songs where my real life experience collided with my imagination perfectly."

Recorded in Boston over the spring and summer of 2007 the record will be released in New York City on October 13th. Following that release show Lister plans to tour extensively up and down the east coast including a solo college acoustic tour.

"I'm really excited about the solo tour. It's going to be exciting to rediscover these songs by myself every night with the audience. And I've got a few surprises up my sleeves..." teases Cameron.

He's referring of course to the use of looping and effects pedals that have made Lister's shows a truly unique experience for each and every audience. With a guitar, his voice, feet and hands Cameron uses his effects to create a full band sound with the vulnerability and honesty and a solo performer. If you get the chance make sure you see him sometime this fall... you'll be blown away.
