Bio

Cameron Peterson is a guitar player born and raised in the wine country in Northern California. Starting the craft at 13 after being inspired by Led Zeppelin, Cameron began performing regularly in Santa Rosa, Ca. at local pubs and restaurants. After high school he studied jazz performance at the Santa Rosa Junior College, where he was able to study and perform under the direction of Bennett Friedman, Bobby Shew, and Ian Sherer. He was awarded best soloist at the Hayward Jazz Festival in the spring of 2004. A few months later Cameron was awarded half his tuition to the Berklee College of Music where he was afforded the opportunity to perform and learn under the direction of Hal Crook, Dave Santoro, Victor Mendoza, and Mark White. By the time he graduated in 2009, Cameron had performed with Mohammad Kalifa and his world music band, Dennis Montgomery's womens gospel choir, and Victor Mendoza's Latin Jazz Ensemble, to name a few. Such experiences helped the aspiring musician to perform later for Royal Carribean, the San Francisco Giants and even Amateur Night at the Apollo. Cameron is currently an ensemble teacher for the Boston City Music Program and a private teacher for keynotes music in Sudbury and Concord, Massachusetts.
