Bio

CAMO is a new colombian solo artist who has achieved great positioning in the 2009 – 2010 local and Latin American music scenes as one of the biggest new acts to keep an eye on. He has been invited to play in the biggest events in Colombia such as: Evento 40 and Conciertos Nuestra Tierra from the leading Colombian pop-music and Top 40 radio stations, the Latin MTV Awards (Los Premios MTV) and the Nem-Catacoa Festival in Bogota alongside Green Day, Jamiroquiai, The Bravery and the biggest local bands of Colombia. His first single “QUE TIENE” made it big with both critics and audience and scored a privileged position in MTV’s Top Ten videos.

With a mind always directed towards social matters and childhood, CAMO has supported a lot of causes since the beginning. Now he presents to us his second single called AQUI ESTOY, and ventures into a new challenge, this time with a song totally directed towards a cause and a striking duet with one of Latin America’s biggest superstars Amaia Montero (previous lead singer of La Oreja de Van Gogh). This beautiful song supports the ProNiño program of Telefonica Foundation, which works towards ending child labor in Latin America, subsequently, “Aqui Estoy” supported Chile’s reconstruction after the devastating 2010 earthquake, making this song the country’s reconstruction anthem. CAMO also paired efforts with the1Goal Foundation during 2010’s South Africa’s World Cup, allowing millions of kids around the world to get an education.

Now, and looking towards the end of 2010, CAMO presents to us, his new single POBRE DE MI, which will surely be a smash hit.
