Feeling a bit camera shy

Tonight of All Nights:

Hunger. Truth. Power. Desire. Doubt.
These are the worst and best nights of your life.

The trucks are rolling out. The clouds are gathering.

Hark! —
A thunderous roar of gut. Thuggish beats, a distant racket. A sob of joy.

So much, so obvious.
So much, so clear.

Yet ultimate truth lies in hiding — camouflaged.
Tonight we embrace the mayhem.

Camouflage Nights is Ian McGettigan and Rob Benvie.

Their debut LP will arrive in 2005.

The LP was recorded between 2002 and 2004 in Halifax, Toronto, Montreal, and at a lakeside retreat in Ontario cottage country.

Notable contributors include Buck 65, Feist, Chris Murphy (Sloan), Nikki Anderson (White Cowbell Oklahoma), Dukey Snipes, and other cherished friends, hired guns, and weirdoes.

Available now: 'Skies are Foggy' 12". September: 'It Could Be Love' single on Make Mine UK (

In recent years Benvie and McGettigan have founded, produced, and musically participated in such endeavours as Thrush Hermit, The Dears, Matthew Barber, January, Tigre Benvie, The Joel Plaskett Emergency, Rick of the Skins, feature film scores, crappy made-for-TV movies, and Carmen Electra’s Naked Women’s Wrestling League.

Camouflage Nights does not resemble any of these endeavours.

The new live incarnation of Camouflage Nights is augmented by Wayne MacPherson (Teen Wülf), Nobu Adilman (Mr. Nobu), Michael LeBlanc (Slow Lover), and Sofia Silva (Hotel).

It’s not easy to be sleazy.

Tonight of all Nights:
Pain. Glory. Lust.
