Bio
Few people would consider their home being burned to the ground funny, but when it happened to her at 12 years old, Camy laughed. "We drove up and the place was leveled. The only thing still standing in the middle of the smoldering ashes was the lamp my mother inherited from her new marriage and hated. That's just funny in any country." With that kind of perspective, we shouldn't be surprised that twelve years later she started bringing those same observations to the stage, leaving her audience in stitches. "There's just nothing in life that I don't find funny is some form or other." Described as seeing life "through a comedic filter," it was a logical step for Camy to began pursuing stand-up.
This "very funny...down to earth" comedian brings energy and honesty to her audiences every time she grabs a mic. She's honed her skills in the Seattle market performing in venues such as Giggles, Emerald Queen Casino, Laughs and Swannie's Comedy Underground. Camy has performed in the comedy competition "She's So Funny" in San Francisco and made her TV debut in 2004 when she earned the opportunity as a guest cast member of the Oxygen Networks’ prank show “Girls Behaving Badly.” Camy won the spot by performing her signature move “The Orangutan” for cast members and the producers. “Introducing the ‘The Orangutan’ to the public was something I swore I’d never do, but I couldn’t resist the shock value factor and I went for it. I guess it worked.” Currently she is seen around the LA comedy scene and performs regularly at The Comedy Store. They don't call her "hilarious, refreshing and awesome" for nothing!
