Candace Benson is set to release “He Is” as an independent artist
Many of fans have been waiting patiently for this highly-anticipated album, well wait no longer! Candace Benson is set to release her first album titled “He Is” on November 1.
This album has music that will give you hope, make you dance, and yet cause you to want to worship. With songs such as “He is” has a beautiful message that breaks down on who God really is to her. “I Believe” penned by Candace, was written out of her desire to know what she really believes in. “In You” written by Candace and her brother Terrance tells the story of one who has fallen and is seeking to find his way back. There are many songs on this album that will cause you to break out into a dance as well as to move you to worship.
Benson is a typical teenager who dreams of becoming a gospel singer who travels the world. She states, “ I don’t want to limit myself so I continue to take lessons on voice and piano you’ll never know when an opportunity becomes available to act I’d like to do that too”. She comes from a family whose roots are from the church. Candace was born into a family where it was expected of you to play an instrument. Her exceptional talents have given her on stage appearances with the likes of Shirley Caesar and many other major gospel artists. Candace has appeared on “Family Life TV” in Pittsburgh Pa. and The Word Network in Detroit Michigan.
The album will be released on November 1, 2010 by Canterr productions an independent company. The Album will be available at Target, Wal-Mart, and Best Buy also on the internet at the ITunes store.

At the tender age of 19, Candace Benson, known by her close friends as “CB”, has experienced more success and acclaim than many artists achieve in a lifetime. Candace has opened up for nationally known artists and was the featured artist for the “Black Men’s Business Association” in Washington, D.C where some of the guests were Michelle Obama and Magic Johnson. Early this year she was chosen out of 300 students to sing at the PMEA District chorus Festival at Souderton High School. She then went onto the PMEA Regional chorus Festival at Central Bucks High School.
She is the music director for Mount Zion, AME church in Devon, Pa and is apart of the Pottstown High Schools’ Concert and Marching Band. Candace takes pride as a recording artist as she herself recorded her first short EP with well known producer, Ray Holloman who has worked with artists such as Mary Mary, Floetry, and Pharelle. As an actress, Candace has garnered lead and supporting roles in the school and community stage plays such as “The Wizard of Oz”, “Suessical”, and “Bye Bye Birdie”.
Candace will soon graduate from Pottstown High School with a 3.8 GPA as a dual enrollment student moving onto college in the fall majoring in Music Engineer with an emphasis on Music Education.
What sets her apart is that she has the ability to play multiple different instruments fluently. She composes her own music and produces her own backgrounds. She is consistent in everything she does and she is a hardworker. Her voice maturity is well beyond her years. Audiences end up in tears after every performance. She is a sensation!
