Candi black released their first single "Blind" (produced by Dewald Pretorius under Redroom Records) early March.
The popularity of "blind" hit home when it was entered into the TuksFM SA Top Ten, peaking at #1 and still playing the charts 9 weeks later.
Candi black is currently working on a 7 track EP with Redroom Records and Producer / singer/ songwriter Pedro Barbosa (Mrs B).

Candy Black is a collaborative Female rock band excitingly lead by three female vocalists, Lizzy Love (ex Laconia),, Babette (Babette) & Geraldine Robertson (taking Jenna's place).
Our music is a reflection of real life, mainstream Rock and roll with a falvour of the old school Bangles vibe, but with the Yeah Yeah yeah's inspired hard core edge. We are not a female pop group, but a motormouth female fronted full on rock band with a vibe.
Our first controversial single "Blind" hit the charts, competing withthe likes of Van Coke Cartel and The narrow, beating them to the #1 spot, and still roaming the charts 9 weeks later.
The band has been featured in JIP and Kampus Beeld, the girls' opinioted vies and collaborative ethnic sound has evoked interest in the music industry country wide.
The inspiration behind Candi Black was derived from the fierce love of local music, which was crying out for some female attention.
The name is a word play of sweetness of a female, but with the hard edge of a South African with with passion.
