Candice Handy

Candice Handy is a classically trained pianist from Birmingham Alabama. Raised in a family of musicians, it was only natural for Candice to engage in the craft herself. Over the years Candice nourished her gift of music and became intrigued with other areas of the arts. After completing her undergraduate degree, Candice attended the American Music and Dramatic Academy in New York City to embark on a career as an actress. It was during her time in New York, that she discovered her gift of songwriting and began performing her music regularly on the open mic scene. Noticing her talent, Candice was asked to perform in numerous venues, and began writing for different bands in the New York area. Aside from her ability to write music that gives her fans a transparent view into her life, Candice has a n underlying talent that allows her to transcend genres, and reach a vast audience. Candice's talent and dedication to the arts allows her to share her love and knowledge with her students as a professor at the University of Louisville in the department of fine arts.
