My music is a reflection of my emotions... I write what I feel and what I experience thorughout my life. In the music scene I guess I would be put into the 'pop' category, although I don't think that just one genre could describe my music. My music paints a picture...

Why I am here? Why are you reading this? Hopefully it's because you're interested in the music that I have created.

Music has been a huge part of my life for ten years now. I'm 15 years old and hold a great passion for what I do- compose. Without music in my life would be so different it scares me...

My piano is my prized possession- The touch of the keys makes me shiver each time I sit down on the black stool... A feeling of happiness and determination overflows from within me. The piano is the basis of the majority of my songs- it was originally my dream to be able to actually put piano music to them, but I never thought it would happen- but it did. I worked hard, and I got there in the end.

When I sit down, wherever it may be: at the piano, at my desk, at school- I have a feeling inside me that feels as though it will explode with passion. I am so dedicated to producing music for the world to hear that maybe even has the tiniest positive impact on someone elses life.

Influences towards my music include Delta Goodrem, Sarah McLachlan, Sarah Blasko, Missy Higgins and James Morrison. To me, these artists have amazing gifts and I have learned so much from them. They inspire me to never give up and focus on my goals.

My music is just that: my music. I create it as I journey along my path in life. It is a gift from God that I long to share with people, but if that doesn't happen successfully, it won't matter because my gift will always be there for me to embrace.

One Day It Will Be Perfect

Written By: Candice McLeod

Verse 1:
I am frustrated; life’s complicated
But you don’t seem to care.
I am angry; I am moody
But you don’t seem to understand.

You say I’m wrong, but am I really?
I want you to listen now.
You say I’m wrong, please understand me
And someday tell me how…

How can I make it better?
How can I make you smile?
Sometimes it’s just perfect
Then it all goes wrong.

When will you understand me?
When will you seek my smile?
One day it will be perfect
And it won’t go wrong.

Then you look at me and I see your beautiful smile.
The times you make me laugh,
The times you make me cry,
They’ve been gone for a while.
Tell me why…

Verse 2:
You have faded, been manipulated
And I want you to know
You’ve played a big part in my life
But your heart still needs to grow.

You Don't Know Me

Written By: Candice McLeod

Verse 1:
I wait for an email, a phone call
A message or something.
I wait for you to tell me that you love me,
But is it ever going to happen?
Will you ever change?
For as long as I can remember
I’ve wondered what it would be like to have you around…

You don’t know what you put me through
And you don’t know how much I love you.
You never see the tears I cry
So will you be there before my last tear falls?

Verse 2:
Sometimes I start to think ‘is it me?’
Am I the one in the wrong?
But then I think about the things you’ve said and done.
Will things ever be different?
Will you change for me?
It’s not right; it’s not fair,
I need yo in my life and want you there.

Ad. Lib.

You don’t know what you put me through
And you don’t know how much I love you.

You just don’t know me…

Where Are You?

Written By: Candice McLeod

Verse 1:
I try to look this way to find you
But what I want to see isn’t there.
I’m drowning in darkness,
Turn on the light so I can see.

Why can’t I find you?
Darkness is all I see.
Why can’t I see you?
Please talk to me.

Verse 2:
The little girl in me is scared,
She needs you to hold.
I’m crying tears of stone,
Landing on my soft heart of snow.

Chorus x2
