The best kept secret in music

"Nashville Star Judge"

“It's almost ironic that I had to move out of Nashville and back to St. Louis to find what might be the next big thing in country music. Candy Coburn has everything it takes to make it! Not only does she posses the looks of something out of Hollywood, she also has the edge and spirit of the rockin'est jukejoint Tennessee could have to offer. At a time when most question who will be the next female superstar … I think I found their answer.”

"The Conman Radio Show"

Host, "The Conman Radio Show" and "Hot Country Nights with the Conman" on GAC “I’ve filmed many country music artists. None captured my attention like Candy did, her live performances dwarf her competition. I know this is a bold statement but I stand beside it ‘cause it’s true.”

Bio

2005 proved to be quite a debut year for Candy Coburn. Candy opened for household names such as Brooks & Dunn, Montgomery Gentry, Reba McEntire, Josh Turner, Blake Shelton and many others! Candy headlined many concerts and events in addition to playing live for several television events including singing the National Anthem on Fox Sports. Her debut independent album, Enjoy the Ride, has already received airplay throughout the Midwest, featuring the single, It’s Good to be a Girl. Candy received CD distribution in Wal-Mart stores and is currently wrapping up a Wal-Mart radio tour.

2006 will certainly be the year that the music of Candy Coburn will find new fans nationwide! Candy was recently invited to play for Nashville’s Bluebird Café, “Chick Singer Night”. She was also a featured artist on a video countdown show hosted by Chris Conn (host of nationally syndicated Jones Media Radio show-“Conman Air Show”) on Windup Country Countdown. Fans will be delighted to know her new DVD, the Candy Coburn Special, has been released and can be purchased through this site, at concerts, and will soon be available in many markets! Candy has begun the early stages of a Southwest tour to support her new single and CD, Rev it Up due out in late spring. Candy will participated in several BMI sponsored events such as the BMI Writer Showcase in Nashville. She is a member of NSAI (Nashville Songwriters’ Association) and writes songs for her own projects as well as for other artists. Candy will continue to stay true to her faith and her roots by sharing her gift at many upcoming regional and national charity concerts. In addition, several new television appearances are coming! Please check the calendar often as new dates are being added almost weekly!

Raised in western Kentucky, Candy learned to belt it out at a young age. Her grandmother’s vinyl collection of old gospel greats and country legends influenced what many are saying is a sound that is “unique and distinctly fresh to modern country”.

After attending the University of Missouri on a vocal scholarship, Candy was determined to do “what I have always been wired to do…share this awesome gift of music with other people... use what talent God gave me to connect people … music is something that brings people together no matter what age, background, or upbringing.”

Candy continues to receive tremendous fan support from fans, other artists and people throughout the industry. Her story-telling, soulful, song-crafting savvy and exhilarating stage presence will soon reach your region and airwaves! Bookers, DJ’s, and venue owners, please click here and invite us to your region or to get more information!

Candy’s biggest fan (who also happens to be her husband!) gave Candy her signature green guitar on Mother’s day. As Candy and her green guitar continues to light up the stage and the roar of “Gimme Some Candy!” builds; Candy keeps making her dreams come true. Candy believes all experiences happen for a reason and her life, her family and her experiences have shaped her soul and ultimately her sound. A sound which is distinctly Candy Coburn’s, and is reshaping the face of modern country music.
