Candy Mantra started out in 2001 playing the Beatnik Monday at Cafe Nine in New Haven. The band has gone through several "incarnations" since then, playing such venues as The Space in Hamden, Branstock, Cliff's Backyard Jamboree, and Spinstock.
With the current lineup, Candy Mantra is ready to take on the world! We brought eighty heads to Toad's Place as an opening act, and we consistently draw a large number of enthusiastic fans to our shows. We work with Elemental Energy Productions, Big Time Entertainment, and Spinning Wheels Promotions.
We have a good mix of innocence and experience, and a danceable, innovative, and pretty sound, that "melts in your mind, not in your mouth!"
