"[...] while listening to such a well achieved album as this one, one can’t help but think that each song could be a single […] there a lot of reasons to predict a promising future for these musicians, […] their project is sincere and unpretentious.”
(by Silvia V. Dueñas) - Indie Rocks Magazine
“Candy ventures into breaking ideological barriers that the Mexican “alternative” scene had established for us”
(by Rodrigo Rangel) - Bolten Inc. Blog
“…they seem harmless at first sight, but they are probably the most lethal music team of our country.[…] they came to renew the Mexican rock scene, that had been hijacked for decades, with a direct and noisy punk well lead by two intertwined voices […] it cuts to the chase and doesn’t pretend to be punk: it is punk.”
(by Emmanuel Caballero) - Diez a uno Blog
“…eclectisism meets an orinigal sound that doesn’t acknowledge borders…”
(by Sebastían Sigifredo) - El Vernáculo (Argentina)
“They shine because they venture and forget about the popular and proven trends. With only three members Candymx is pure dynamism and will surely be one of the important bands of Mexico”
(by Pam Hernandez) - Noisy Magazine
“Candy’s first album: addictive. A flawless and mature product with the musical quality of any New Yorker/English band which, at this moment, is saving the music. […] We have our new heroes in Mexico: three strangers who want to take us out to party”
(by Lilian López Camberos) - La Mosca en la red
“…Candy takes us from the eighties’ post punk over to dark territories of bands such as Ladytron…” - Círculo Mixup Magazine
“they opened for the Misfits even though they are not part of the movement. They have a lot of addicts, but not in vane…”
(by Ruy Feben) - Chilango Magazine
“among the best 10 records of 2009” - Mercado Negro, Ibero 90.9 FM
“A great start for a band that […] will give us something to talk about in the near future…”

“Intense songs in English, a contrast between the deep voice of the guitarist and the bit shrill voice of Valentina the bassist. They cover a wide scope of tones that are complemented by the drums…” - Roja

With the delicate-turned-noisy single “Atlas”, the Mexican quartet Candy announce their upcoming third album of the same in the best possible way: intriguing, disorienting, and leaving us wanting more. - Beehype
While they still defy categorization, the song [Tres Segundos] does without the grit that has characterized some of their best moments, at least until the final stretch. They still practice their energetic brand of power pop with electronic tints. Above all is catchy as they come. – Remezcla - Remezcla
It’s hard to find a band these days that just plain rocks. Usually, we encounter artists more concerned with belonging to a certain scene and sound, leaving stuff like songwriting to the side in order to play what’s in. Thankfully, there are still people who care, like Mexico City’s own Candy. […] The band’s sound can be described as a mixture of gritty rock and luminescent pop melodies, all in the same song. They care about what matters most: writing good songs and rocking out. - Remezcla
