Cane Creek Bluegrass Band

BandChristianGospel

Cane Creek is a hard driving bluegrass group with warm, rich harmonies.

Biography

Cane Creek is a band that is in love with traditional sounds of Bluegrass, Old-Tyme, and Celtic music, and the beautiful images and stories that lie behind these genres of music. Our influences are wide and varied, from O'Carolan and Skinner, through The Skillet Lickers, Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs, and Jimmy Martin and J.D. Crowe, to Sam Bush. Inspired by this great tradition, the group spins out it's own versions of traditional songs as well as original compositions. Based near Anderson, South Carolina, we recently had the privelege of performing for South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford, where we debuted one of our most recent original compositions, 'South Carolina Back Roads'.

Build Your House On The Rock

Written By: Jeffrey Rose

Build your house on the Rock, don’t build in the sand,
For the wind and the rain it will toss.
Get your tools from the Bible, use the nails in his hands,
Get your wood from that old rugged Cross.

Jesus was a capenter, he can tell you what to do.
He knows what it takes to make a building strong.
Start with a good foundation, the right tools, nails, and wood.
If you build it right, you just can’t go wrong.

Build your house on the Rock, don’t build in the sand,
For the wind and the rain it will toss.
Get your tools from the Bible, use the nails in his hands,
Get your wood from that old rugged Cross.

Now if your house is falling down, ‘cause you built it in the sand,
Don’t be afraid, you know it’s not too late.
Ask Jesus to help you, he’ll be glad to lend a hand.
He’ll be there to help you renovate.

And if you think your work is done don’t put those tools away.
There will be plenty left for you to do.
Keep workin’ on your building. Work on it every day.
So you can keep it standing strong and true.

Daydreams of Love

Written By: Jeff Rose

You told me that we would be married
when we were both just little kids.
The years passed and you found another.
And you broke my heart when you did.

Chorus
I dream of a day that you'll love me,
when all of my dreams will come true.
Why must I go on having daydreams,
daydreams of love Dear from you.

I spend all my time being lonely.
There's no other love that will do.
Each time that I think of another
my mind wanders back Dear to you.

Chorus
I dream of a day that you'll love me,
when all of my dreams will come true.
Why must I go on having daydreams,
daydreams of love Dear from you.

I see no hope for a future.
No future with you loving me.
I'm living my life in a daydream
while another is living my dream.

Chorus
I dream of a day that you'll love me,
when all of my dreams will come true.
Why must I go on having daydreams,
daydreams of love Dear from you.
