CaneliBeat is a multi-cultural seven-piece band created in late 2009 by talented guitarist Dan Garcia and vocalist/percussionist Carmela Estevez, both Spaniards living in NYC. The music combines elements of flamenco mixed with pop and the vibrant sounds of New York City.

Canelibeat is a new sound in a city full of sounds! Its essence combines Spanish flamenco roots with New York electronic rhythms. The project is currently led by two talented musicians that have been living in New York long enough to create what numerous musicians recognize as New York’s next new genre.

Daniel Garcia, a native of Madrid, Spain holds a Masters degree in Classical Guitar and is adjunct professor of music at Manhattan College, he also teaches at the Brooklyn Music Factory and has performed with Argentinean Star Coral and Mexican/Middle-Eastern singer Nuriya. He is also an integral part of Bruxos, a Brazilian/World Music band led by vocalist Monika Oliveira. Carmen Estevez is a sought after percussionist and vocalist from Badajoz, Spain. She studied music at the Conservatorio de Musica of Montijo (Badajoz) and Escuela Superior de Musica Creativa (Madrid). She has performed with "Flamenco Revolucion" with Maya de Silva & los Chavales del barrio and The New York Gypsy Festival to name a few.
