I have always been a big fan of different styles of electronic dance music, but when i first came in touch with dubstep around 2007. Wich i thought was the most interesting and weird style of dance music that have evolved out of styles like dub reggea and drum and bass.
After visiting many party's around the country seeing big names in dubstep playing and seeing how the crowd reacted to the styles, I decided to experiment with the concept myself. Since i had no real DJ experience i decided to try digital DJing with Ableton Live, and a flexibel midi controller.
When practicing at home a organizer/booker stumbled by and booked me for my first gig on 26th of august 2010, wich went unexpectedly well and made me decide that i was going to take this music seriously as a producer/dj.
Today i try to find as much different styles of dubstep i can find on the net or produce my self, and make a balanced mix between all those worlds. Armed with a macbook, a midi controller, a playstation 2 controller and some software for general awesomeness, Cannibal Monkey's goal is play dubstep at as many gigs as possible and to support the worldwide dubstep movement.
