Cannibelle

Cannibelle

BandAlternativeRock

2 chicks with lush vocal. melodies over grunge guitars. Our sound is all-originals American Pop, in the realm of Hole, the Ramones and even a dash of Tanya Donnelly.

Biography

Where does any band start? In a bar someplace, maybe in a telephone
conversation, or a frantic idea that wakes you up at 3am. Well this band started in a bar, in Jamaica Plain, MA during the summer of 2002. But it’s evolved beyond that since then. (And we’ve seen our fair share of bass
players, too.) We just finished a four song EP called “The Hypnotic New Sounds of Cannibelle” (with previous bassist Ken Michaels). We've been playing gigs at clubs including CBGB's and TT the Bears. We hope to sign up with a label, appear on TRL and then sell our own line of action figures. For a complete press kit go to: www.cannibelle.com/press/

The Waiting

Written By: Jennifer Iwanicki, Copyright 2003

I’ve been waiting for you. Did you hear me call you?

I was searching for you. Now I think I’ve found you.

I want you to know that, I am losing patience.

It’s too crazy. The way I feel.

Everyday I wake up. (I can’t hold back).

You keep hesitating.
I am sick of waiting.

You’ve said that you want me. Make me an offer.

Make it sincere. I can’t wait much longer.

It’s too crazy. The way I feel.

But still I wait.

It’s been the longest wait of my life.

Winter

Written By: Jennifer Iwanicki

There’s a cold beating in my heart tonight, must be the winter.

There’s a shiver in the morning when I wake with you, must be the winter.

Could it be that I have fallen?

I see this storm before my eyes.

I get a shiver, if you kiss my lips, must be the winter.

And there’s a hole so cold in the pit of my heart, must be the winter.

Could it be that I have fallen?

When I see you in the morning, it’s not the same.

I can’t help this feeling I’ve been wasting my time.

And if it’s not the winter, and if it’s not the cold, could it be,

I’m not in love anymore. Could it be, I’m not in love?

Please give me a blanket and keep me warm.

Red

Written By: Jennifer Iwanicki, Copyright 2003

Jimmy is working at a liquor store. He has got no money and he doesn’t have a car.

He is bringing home a bottle, because he can’t afford a needle and he sold his new guitar.

Tommy is putting on his stockings. He has bought some lipstick, he has changed his name to Lori.

And she starts walking down the street. Passing all the pushers and looking for her Johnny.

She is God knows what and he is so impatient.

And she takes off her clothes.

Jimmy is working at a liquor store. He has got no money and he doesn’t have a car.

He is bringing home a bottle, because he can’t afford a needle and he sold his new guitar.

While somebody’s got his finger on a button, he’s going to push them too far.

Push them over the edge, and sweep them under a rug. It doesn’t matter anymore.

She is God knows what and he is so impatient.

All of their lives, they’ve been waiting for the man in the moon to appear.

Just drop another hit of acid my friends, I’ll take your troubles.

It doesn’t matter anymore
