Canons is a Christian rock/worship band from Michigan whose purpose is to see lives transformed through the beauty of worshiping God with music. Ultimately, Canons is a worship band that understands worship is a lifestyle, not a sound. It is their goal to reflect that lifestyle in all that they do.

Biography

This group has been together in various forms now for around 8 years. We have always played together whether it was rock bands, church groups, what-have-you. We have put out cd's under different names and with slight line-up changes here and there. We decided that this was the time to pursue a serious career in music as we have all matured both as people and musicians. We're influenced by everything. We listen to everything from country to metal to r&b to gospel. And that's only half the influence. I think relationships with people and with life in-general are also big factors in to what are music is, and God really is the first and foremost reason for what we do. To be able to use music as a means to interact with people and change lives for the better is our ultimate goal. We've never been focused so much on "making it," but being able to do something with the oppurtunities that we've been given and giving back to people is why we do this.

Discography

"Our Anthem" - EP, released in 2009. We have tracks streaming on many different websites i.e. facebook, myspace, purevolume... Set List

We don't really have a typical set list. We have over 25 songs that we like to mix in and out although we do always maintain a core group of songs. "Someday Soon", "Would You Say", "Anthem"; these are all parts of our consistancy. We have played sets ranging from 15 minutes to 2 and a half hours. We will throw some covers in depending on the event/audience, we have done this many times.
