Cantor Dust is the result of an acoustic singer/songwriter collaborating with an experimental noise guitarist. Nurtured with an intrigue to accompany Tanya's beautifully haunting melodies with heavily processed organic soundscapes.
Their ability to perform with just one guitar and voice
or with a full band and laptop makes for uniquely dynamic compositions and also means no two shows are ever the same. Influenced by anything loud and passionate or soft and sincere (and of course the occassional giggle). Inspired greatly by artists such as Jamie Liddel, Bill Hicks, Autechre, Mazzy Star, Cornelius and King Tubby.
Cantor Dust have been playing a wide variety of shows in Australia and New Zealand and are now working on the final touches of there debut EP.
