Biography

A part of the Toronto rock scene since 2003, Capital is a lo-fi band based in the city's West End. The spacey quintet sails a sea of influences, resulting in a sonic whirlpool comprised of psychedelic pop hooks, over-driven power chords, trancendental synth swells, and arhythmia inducing drum beats. Known for their energetic live shows, capital has played with many great Toronto bands as well as opening for international recording artists the Earlies, and the Smoking Popes on their 2006 reunion tour.

Capital offers 2 EPs and an independently released LP - "Clip the Right Wing." CTRW debuted at number 7 on CIUT 89.5fm's Top 30 chart (July 29, 2005) and was recorded by Dale Morningstar (The Gas Station) and mastered by Harris Newman (Grey Market Mastering). Their current EP was recorded & mastered by John Critchley (Green Door Studios.)

Capital is currently writing material for the 2nd LP, which is due mid 2007.
