"Porter Robinson - The Seconds (Cappa Regime Remix)"

Chicks and sunshine aren't the only things hot out in L.A. The trio, Cappa Regime, are putting out hot tracks left and right. Forming in early 2011 these three have already come leaps and bounds in the world of music production. With both original and remixes under their belts, Jake Kasheta, Shane Sherzai, & Rob "Electric" Enea, are sure to keep the temperature rising in L.A. Their latest remix is of 'The Seconds' by Porter Robinson. This remix is a fresh yet dirty take on a otherwise clean track. I can't wait to see what Cappa Regime has in store for future tracks. - FCK YES

"New Blood Volume 3"

There is such an abundance of new electronic dance music available today, that sifting through new artists and all of the tracks being produced and released is impossible, especially due to the plethora of DJs who are trying to break into the scene and are not producing high-quality work.

Luckily, many independent EDM labels are attempting to curb this problem by seeking out only the best talent and presenting these up and coming artists to the world in a variety of ways. For Play Me Records, their compilation releases showcase new talent to provide EDM fans with the best in the genre. Their newest, New Blood Vol. 3, should set myriad precedents, as many of the best new and rising stars in EDM are collaborating on this volume.

From the previews available on the New Blood Vol. 3 Soundcloud page, it is apparent that this compilation is going to make waves. The wide spectrum of genres that it draws on, from dubstep to glitch hop, to trap and beyond, provides something for every EDM listener. The three tracks that have the most promise appear to be "Put on the Groove" by Unlike Pluto and Kameronessi, "Puppet Master" by Leechi, and arguably the track with the most intriguing and impressive preview, "Event Horizon" by Cappa Regime and Cy Kosis. - The Examiner

"Tunes From Cappa Regime"

Cappa Regime is a collaboration of three talents who’ve all taken their personal journeys through the music industry. From live shows to studio production to festival stage production they were all doing great for themselves however still felt something was missing. The trio, who all graduated from the same high school, tuned into the same frequencies and realized they were all hungry for the next level, thus Cappa Regime was born. We here at Noiseporn started digging these guys INSTANTLY so you should definitely check out the free tunes here! - Noise Porn

"Event Horizon (Preview) – Cappa Regime & Cy Kosis"

With Play Me 2's compilation New Blood Vol. 3 dropping on Monday, October 29, it is no wonder that a lot of EDM fans are excited. In the past, the New Blood compilations have launched the careers of many successful music producers, such as Tim Ismag (“Discovery” off New Blood Vol. 2), Dubsidia (“Kill Humans” and “The After life” off New Blood Vol. 1), and Mantis (“Rivers” off New Blood Vol. 2). The third New Blood compilation is highly anticipated not only because of the quality of the past two, but also because this volume presents a wider variety of electronic music, from trap to dubstep to glitch hop. Just from listening to all of the New Blood Vol. 3 Previews, I already know which track I’m going to have on repeat for days once the volume drops.

The penultimate track on New Blood Vol. 3, “Event Horizon,” has got it going on. Produced by the collaborative efforts of Cappa Regime and Cy Kosis, two of L.A.’s rising stars in EDM, I can already tell this track has the makings of being a hit. In the minute long preview, it is apparent how rich the entire track is, ripe with clean, well-produced synthetic noise, as well as bone-shaking bass and an incendiary beat. One of the elements of the track that truly sets it apart from the rest of the volume is its originality. Where Cy Kosis and Cappa Regime excel is within their genuine attempts to create their own work, putting together masterful synths, as well as diverging from what kinds of work created by other artists with household names. If this sample of “Event Horizon” takes the listener to all kinds of new places in its lush electronic wonderland of a soundscape, the entire track is gonna be aural magic. - Be The Rave

Bio

Jake Kasheta, Shane Sherzai, and Rob “Electric” Enea were each working in various facets of the music industry (from festival production to studio engineering) when the three friends discovered a common love for EDM production and performance. With complimentary skill sets, the three have been slowly refining their style as Cappa Regime. Since its inception, the Regime has been generating buzz with its impeccably produced, hard- hitting electro and complextro house. Their most recent release, Event Horizon, peaked at #12 on the Beatport Dubstep Chart, #13 on Electro House, and #58 Overall. Not the group to be pigeonholed, they are currently finishing production on a track with Del The Funky Homosapien, one of his first electronic collaborations since his work with Gorillaz.
