Bio
Captain and the Kings is formed around the songs and voice of Steven Finnie. Joined by sister Jolene, wife Lindsay, cousin Jamie and uncle Jim the band’s background in folk music gives their melodic harmony-driven pop an authentic heritage.
As a duo the siblings enjoyed extensive support from Tom Morton on Radio Scotland, and Jim Gellatly on XFM, toured the folk festival scene, and landed a demo deal with Polydor Records. Later as a full band they played Tartan Heart Festival in 2008.
Immediately upon releasing their new tracks this year, the band has been played on Radio One, performed an acoustic set at Celtic Connections and are playing King Tuts on 28th February.
