Our music is heartfelt, but yes it is poppy. Life is the greatest influence there is. The people that surround us are great and very supportive. We feel that we are extremely blessed. Our personality is what sets us apart from other bands, our story is what sets us apart. When I was twelve years old I was living in Mexico City because my dad was working for the US embassy there. I met this kid who played bass at school with me. We started writing music together when we were twelve. Nine years later I called him from Florida and I said "Hey dude, lets start a band." He said okay, sold his car and moved from El Paso to follow the dream, and we haven't stopped since. Captain Kid has toured all over the US, played with acts such as Lifehouse, Hoobastank, Rooney, The Bravery, The Almost, Mae, and many other major label acts.
