Biography

Kirk Mattis known as Captain Kirk Cobain Jamaican American, born on November 21, 1991 at Memorial Parkway Hospital in Miami, FL. He attended Michael Crop/Magnet Academy high school and graduated in Music Theory in 2010.

Childhood:
Kirk was an active child in the community played sports, music, was a jack of all trades if you will.

Dream and execution:
“My dream is to become a super producer and have the opportunity to spread a new flavor of sound never heard before by applying hard work and devotion along with dedication and determination to the projects in order to pursue my aspirations in the musical industry.”

Turning point:
“I was surrounded by a lot of musical influences growing up such as my uncle Hopeton Lindo who is a professional writer in Jamaica that wrote the hit single Telephone Love. At the age of 7 I learned to play the piano and continued to learn over the years by playing in churches live, concerts, talent shows etc. I even had a singing talent in school that led my teachers to encourage me to continue on my path to a music career because they felt I had a gift. But the one person that really made me realize I wanted to go further into my passion was my brother Khalil Mathis also known as K da Komposer who told me to continue to work my hardest because in the end that’s what pays off determination.”

Worked and experience:
Kirk began his musical journey with a man named Lunch Money, and then later came to work with names such as Benzino, Blaze Carter, Daniel Paul, Tony Colucho, Sofla, Xavier I Warner, Dee Styles, Space Ghost Purp, Arizona Slim and more.
