Captions

Captions are a five-piece alternative indie band from Southern California. The band formed in the summer of 2008 and has since released two EPs. Influences on the sound range from the melodies and guitar instrumentation of The Strokes and Bloc Party, to more intricate and introspective work of bands such as My Bloody Valentine and Sonic Youth. Captions have thus far played three live shows in a span of 6 weeks, and are planning to play an array of shows in the surrounding areas of both Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. John Figueroa plays guitar and does lead vocals, Adam Gangi also plays guitar, Steven Carey plays keyboards, Billy Craver plays bass, and Jonathan Marsh plays drums and percussion. Captions are currently in the process of writing and rehearsing songs to be recorded for their next upcoming release, which will be a full-length album.
