NASHVILLE, TENN. – Hard rock band Captured is set to perform at IndieCommunity.com’s New Artist Showcase during GMA Week 2006 at Rocketown on April 2, 2006 at 12:30 a.m.
“We are nothing short of excited to be apart of Indie Community’s GMA showcase,” says Chris Haile of Captured. “It’s all about sharing the God-given music and talents we have with the world and what a great place to do so – at GMA backed by an organization with a heart for independent bands like ourselves.”
The Indie Community.com New Artist Showcase will not only feature Captured, but also Judd and Maggie, Hyper Static Union, Candlefuse, Josh Hilliker, Solomon’s Wish, Adam Wright, North of Here and Distal. The showcase will take place Sunday, April 2, 2006 from 9:30 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. at Rocketown, located at 401 6th Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203. Admission is free to any GMA Week registrant and is $10 for the general public. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
Band members Chris Haile, Tristan Adams, Daniel Malone and Dawson Huss are driven to deliver their own brand of hard rock/alternative music to the east coast independent music scene. Lyrically, the band strives to bring a positive yet realistic message to the angst-tinged rock-and-roll scene that exists today. Captured offers real substance out of personal experience and deeply held conviction delivered through their guitar-driven melodic style. Recognizing the common search for truth and meaning that all people share the band uses their music as a platform to relate and express this idea. “GMA Week 2006 marks Indie Community’s introduction to the Christian music industry at large,” shares Indie Community.com founder Jennifer McConnell. “From the beginning, our mission has been to develop and promote up and coming Christian bands and I am excited about the opportunity to showcase some of the artists that have been with us from the start. I think the industry will be blown away by the talent and professionalism of our artists.”
Indie Community.com was founded in late 2004 by Jennifer McConnell to develop and promote independent Christian artists. McConnell shares that after playing with her own band for several years and realizing all the challenges that indies face, she wanted to do something to help other bands find the resources they need. Indie Community.com started with five bands in 2004 and throughout the course of the first year grew to over 150! Their Web site features music and pictures of all the Indie Community bands, as well as a concert listing of upcoming Christian music events in the southeast. They also serve as a resource for artists, churches and venues to connect.

RE: Captured Booking
We recently had the privilege to invite Captured to play at our sixth annual East Coast Showcase event on January 22, 2006. At East Coast Showcase we only host the best of the best bands, both local and regional and we gladly offered Captured a slot at our venue as soon as we came across their music.
Captured display adequate knowledge of the music industry and astounded everyone with their prestige and professionalism portrayed. We have offered them opportunities to come back and play at our venue which they gladly accepted.
Further, Captured offers excellent music, stage presence, crowd response, musical abilities, and an awesome line of original songs, this band has it all.

From the major venues of the Carolinas to the National stage of the GMA's. Captured is bringing their own brand of Melodic Hard Rock to the masses. Touring up and down the east coast Captured finished out 2006 having played over 60 dates. Drawing intrest from many in the industry Captured is looking to roll on to bigger things in 07.
Captured features an intriguing sound with a hint of funk, a little thrash, a lot of rock, packaged with penetrating hooks and melodies.
Tristan and Chris have for over seven years been defining their style, direction, and sound. Along with more recent editions, Eric and Craig, Captured combines these four individual musical tastes an influences into a sound all their own. Rarely has a band been so widely accepted from people of all ages and musical tastes.
Captured is taking their infectious style all across the nation offering fans entertainment with substance. Pulling from personal experiences Captured delivers their lyrical pictures in harsh yet very real colors.
Winning over fans, FM station DJ's and program directors, along with venue management. Its only a matter of time until you either are the the first to unveil this rising group of guys or are relegated to hearing it from everyone else.
